Melts my heart. She gave me this beautiful drawing along with the beaded bracelet (all wrapped up), it was followed up with a matching necklace. Totally wearing them to work tomorrow.
Discovered this awesome MoMA book in our local gallery. It’s definitely on our wish list!
Busy. Learning. Creating. Expressing.
All prepared for painting in the style of Picasso. Blue period, obviously.
Book week is so fun. (Realistically, in my house every week is book week!) Recently we’ve been reading books about painters.
My sister brought this book back from France and its a treasured story of a little girl who enters the worlds of Claude Monet (my personal fave), Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Edgar Degas (another fave)… It’s quite captivating and very beautiful.
But it’s got me thinking about extension projects. We’re already prepared to work on some ‘blue period’ paintings in the style of Pablo Picasso over the weekend - Leelee is so excited.
What else could we do?
Framing problem sorted. $15 from the Reject Shop. Seriously, I’d go broke if I lived near an Ikea.
She is way more like me than I ever imagined! She has torn off the work ‘thank’ three times because she hasn’t got the k just right. And if you ask her, it is most certainly not acceptable to keep the k as it is!
Mini perfectionist!
Today I had the absolute pleasure of helping a five year old girl spell “For you Mummy” on an artwork that she and her sisters (4 & 22months) were collaborating on. Mum is in hospital - recovering from a very serious operation yesterday, for Cancer.
There just aren’t words. <3
One afternoon after school last week, Indira gave me this picture that she drew of “Annaleise at her house”. I was so touched. She really is the most generous child.
