I love watching her sleep. She is snuggled up on my shoulder and her face is only centimetres from mine. In these quiet and still moments I marvel at her. Right down to the very last freckle, perfection.
Motherhood. Snuggling sick bubbas and spending half an hour picking out “all the sparks from the (home
made) playdough, because they’re pointy.”
So gentle. So tender. My little Butterfly.
Poor little puddin’ is exhausted. She’s been asleep for 11hours and counting.
Annaleise wrote these cute pictographs! *eye* *<3* *picture of me* then she wrote ‘to’.
I was greeted by this lovely message on my mailbox, I saw it from my car, before I’d even pulled in the driveway.
I parked the car, feeling elated, a huge smile on my face, when I got out of the car I discovered a pathway of hand drawn chalk hearts leading from my parking spot into the house, and a very excitable five year old bouncing around.
Hand in hand we followed the path of hearts to a hand made gift and a great big hug.
Perfect. No commercialism, just pure love and self driven expression.
Snuggled in bed, reading by candlelight. Bliss.
Mum, You. Are. A. Sea star.
You’re the most beautiful sea star I’ve ever seen.
